"Happiness only exists when shared". Although it had been years since I heard this quote from the movie Into The Wild it recently popped into my head and I have found it to be very true. ( who knew? ) I have been able to experience a lot if new things lately. Beautiful scenery, new surroundings, and different cultures...but it is hard to truly enjoy these things without having someone to share it with. There are the times that I get to share some of these experiences with my husband when he is not working but a lot of the time It ends up just being me and my iPhone. Thankfully I get to share some of these experiences with you through twitter or Facebook but it is not the same. I think everyday about how much I wish some of my family or friends could come visit and experience all of these things with me.

I am so glad that you share your experiences with us, and someday we will be there to share with you....just wish we could at least win a "scratcher" so we could come sooner than we can afford. Seems like with the holidays coming, being alone without my kids is so empty. Me no likey. :(

ReplyDeleteMost days I feel like I'm in another country, even though I'm only about 1'500 miles away from my family. This Christmas is going to be hard if I don't get to go back home and visit.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is taking my sister to Ireland, which is a heck of a lot closer to Germany than California, in May for her graduation...maybe I can go too but come hang out in Germany for two weeks with you?! We will have to see. Not sure how broke my mom is but I personally think it might work! Hang in there. We all cant wait to see you but try not to feel like your serving time in prison. You might not be close by but your not too far away. PS letter, package coming soon!
