Yesterday was a good day, as Saturdays usually are. I am in love with the Placer County Real Food Cookbook and fresh farmer’s market produce. There really is nothing like cooking with fresh local ingredients. I will be posting my Saturday farmers market meal on my other blog a.s.a.p. so check that soon!
On another note, now that I have enjoyed cooking and eating a fresh local dinner I am headed down to my grandparents in Southern CA where fresh to them means freshly microwaved pancakes with spam and eggs. Mmm now that is real food right there…I will definitely be hoarding whatever healthy food I can in my suitcase.
The plus side to going down to Southern CA is their nice, flat running path that smells of fresh baked Mexican bread in the morning. Which also makes me want to make an attempt at Mexican bread.
Well I am rambling now, but the good news is that you might not have to deal with my ramblings this week because I am unsure if I will have any internet connection to post a blog. So much for blogging everyday for a year huh?
