Oh Dear

I don't know what happend, but somewhere between the year 2008 and 2009 I lost any artistic ability or ambition I had to paint, draw, or even doodle.

I used to draw all the time, which led to a brief stint into painting...but then suddenly those blank canvases turned into my worst nightmare. I didn't want make a mistake. Canvases are expensive and I would hate to throw away money on a jacked up painting, not only that but I hate producing anything that looks like crap. Even if I am the only one that sees it...I still hate it.

This is what my artistic ability has succumb to these days...

I know, don't be jealous. Maybe someday I will get back in touch with my inner artist, but until then I will leave you with this...

  1. Cute video. You should take dad's offer of going with him to his lessons until you leave. Can't hurt and it might be relaxing for you. Would just have to rearrange your Thurs. running schedule to possibly earlier? Go for it.

  2. Doodle, draw, create, paint, do. It doesn't have to be good, it doesn't have to please your eyes, it just has to get from in your brain through your hand, and onto a canvas, paper, napkin, something.

Writing is an outlet, drawing is too.
    Just do it (thanks Nike).

  3. Before you even begin to draw, or paint, you have to just relax and decide to have fun with whatever medium. You have been pretty creative with food lately, so when you are ready, the painting genes will kick in.

  4. I have no advice because I'm not artistic AT ALL, but I say find a set of steps and try to go down them like that dog. Make sure you set up a camera because it'll be hilarious. Then maybe you'll be hit with some creative idea (or you'll just hit your head on the wall). Either way it won't hurt to try, or maybe it will.
