Day One Complete

The first day of the semester is officially over, and thankfully it seemed relatively quick and painless. However, I  was a little bitter that parking permits went up from $1.00 to $2.00 a day. College just doesn't cost enough already right? I feel like a bully is picking me up by my ankles and ravenously taking the money that falls from my pockets...followed by an atomic weggie, swirly, or any other after school bully special.

On a more positive note, after realizing that not having an umbrella for my seemingly endless journey to class would surely lead to drenched hair, wet jeans, and shoe puddle accumulation, I managed to get through the day without fulfilling my worst fears. Not only did I find my class right away, I was also on time, found a seat with no problem and didn't embarrass myself. ( That I am aware of ).

So far I am really looking forward to this semester. My teachers are great, and the classes will be challenging, but fun at the same time. I can't wait to learn new things, and see what the rest of the school year has in store for me.

Although I escaped an embarrassing moment yesterday, I was not always so lucky...What are some of your embarrassing school moments? I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours!

  1. Always had my once a year spectacular fall, tripping over sprinkler heads, sliding on slippery school room floors, whatever. No backpacks in my day, we would carry our books in front of us and when falling the books flew down the outdoor hallway. Will always remember a good samaritan friend to this day who helped me collect them and didn't ignore me. There, YOU? xoxo M.

  2. Hmmm... Probably walking into a class late, being called out for being late- THEN realzing it was the WRONG class and having to explain that before I could go.

  3. I was trying to set up my shit for a presentation, and all the wires were tangled, and I got confused, lifted up my computer, tripped over a while, and hit myself in the face, and then knocked into my professor. Infront of 150 people.

  4. I meant wire. Tripped over a wire.

  5. Amanda- Hah oh man, that sounds brutal.

Cheryl- haha wow, that doesn't sound like fun. I am sure everyone remembered your presentation though!

  6. One of my most embarrassing moments in eight grade in Ontario, Canada was a girl I was talking to during a break in class said indignantly in class in a loud voice "Motel! I was horified and saw this laugh in her face, and I replied loudly, five dollars! She was always the practical joker. We both had a good laugh, but it was embarrassing, normally I would have ben absolutely tongue tied.
